Year 10 English VISIONS OF WAR writing task
Today I have walked for miles. The Germans came and forced us out of our home. They did the same to all my neighbours as well. We were all lined up and told to walk. I can remember thinking about why they are doing this, I couldn't remember doing anything wrong. My parents told me to keep my head down and walk, there were people everywhere, some were holding guns and speaking a language I could not understand. Once every while I would hear a bang and the line would suddenly stop.We were pushed and told to keep going. I could see blood, there was blood all over the ground and nobody did anything about it.I closed my eyes ad the chains that bind ed us into a line guided me. Miles we walked, sunrise to sunset. We were weak.We were tired. We were unaware. My family and I were forced into this buliding, surrounded by barbed wire.People callopsing from a day of walking were shot dead.No emotion by the guards. It seems like anybody who even thought about escaping would be shot.I was terrified but I tried to look strong. We were shown to our bunk where my family and I shared with two others. This is where I am writing, it's the only time of day where we are not under close supervision of guards. I hope that anybody who finds this journal will be able to see just what we are going through.
